THE ARTIST: Johanna von Trapp, portrayed as Marta in The Sound of Music, was the second-youngest daughter of Captain Georg von Trapp and Agathe Gobertina Whitehead. A first soprano with the Trapp Family Singers, Johanna was also a lifelong artist. This design reproduces her original Edelweiss (1984), a watercolor painted on black paper.
